¹⁹“I tell you this now,
before it occurs,
so that when it does occur,
you may believe that I am.^[a]
²⁰Amen, amen, I say to you,
whoever receives the one I send
receives me,
and whoever receives me
receives the one who sent me.”

²¹After saying this, Jesus was deeply distressed, and he declared,

“Amen, amen, I say to you,
one of you will betray me.”
